Miko is a subcontracting partner with the American Institutes for Research (AIR) in Washington, D.C. Under this program, Miko assists AIR in the gathering, compilation and analysis of Reading First school Annual Performance Report (APR) data. The Annual Performance Report (APR) is the submission and reporting of grade 1-3 Scientifically-Based Reading Research (SBRR) data. This report is a compilation of test scores across demographic subcategories such as Race and Economically Disadvantaged groups for those grades nationwide. State Education Agencies (SEAs) and External Evaluators (EEs) submit this data, which is from Reading First-funded participating schools. All data is compiled in an APR template and later uploaded to Reading First Data Online site (www.readingfirstdataonline.org) for public viewing upon other phases of verification and “cleaning”. The complete APR report with summary data is submitted to the U.S. Department of Education (ED) by AIR upon completion of all phases.
